I have read the documentation of Wakelet. And I'm sure I'm using the right cookie based on the documentation of Wakelet. But it's still showing up with the random generated image.

It's not possible to use wakelet to show contents of script tags, because they have no ids or classes to use as a selector (via a link).
You can, however, show the content of an element that does have an ID:
var contents = document.getElementById("random-image-content").innerHTML;
The reason that this works is that most script tags are in the bottom of the body, before the tag. And the tag has an inherent id (so it's available through document.getElementById).
